Forgiveness Option

 If you have truly forgiven someone you no longer feel any charge when you think about them.

Saying “I forgive you” does not necessarily mean you have!

The other person does not ‘need’ your forgiveness

Withholding our forgiveness does not give us any leverage over the abuser

Refusal to forgive hurts us not them

Our refusal to forgive is a second injury that we do to ourselves after the initial wound

Seen in this light, not forgiving is pretty crazy.

Beyond telling you that you should forgive did anyone teach you how to forgive?

Harry Palmer’s forgiveness option is a process which takes you through all the steps necessary to forgive and heal yourself.

With forgiveness processing, as with any treatment, the first questions that you have to ask are “Do you want to get better?” and “Are you willing to endure the discomfort connected with getting better?”

If you were to sit abusers down and explore what is generating their motivation to harm others, you would find many grudges, old insults, betrayals, and injustices-all unforgiven-that they feel have given them the right to harm anyone they choose.

Forgiveness breaks the abused-right-to abuse chain.

Breaking this chain is not only a kindness you do for yourself;it is a favor you do for generations to come.

Well from the Dala Lama’s quote we can see that conflicts or problems exist and the trick is how we deal with them.

Lets look at it from the perspective of solving personal problems and conflicts.

An example of conflict might be ‘I want to stop overeating but I love food’

Imagine the war that goes on internally with this one!

An example of a problem might be ‘I shout and lose my temper at my children then feel bad about it’

Any practise that works with the mind to resolve a personal problem or conflict will contribute to peace.

If you use hypnotherapy to resolve a personal problem or conflict the end result is you feel more at peace with yourself once the conflict or problem is resolved

Peace really does begin within as selfish as it may sound, because when you are peaceful you make the world a better place.

Why your beliefs are creating your life,whether you like it or not.

Why your beliefs are creating your life, whether you like it or not.

Hypnotherapy along with other disciplines,works when it replaces or changes negative beliefs to positive beliefs.

Now you most probably will have no idea when you originated a belief, and its of no consequence as to when or how.  Looking at the past rarely fixes the future.

What is of consequence is that YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS.

This is your exit strategy for any stuck condition you are experiencing.

Here is an example of this in action

After years of yo yo dieting and sugar addiction patient X has a set of beliefs that are counterproductive for her to ever give up sugar.

Lets imagine that if the beliefs could talk they might say the following

I AM ADDICTED TO SUGAR

I CANNOT GIVE IT UP

SUGAR MAKES ME HAPPY

I’VE TRIED BEFORE AND ALWAYS FAILED

I NEED SUGAR TO STOP FEELING TIRED

I FEEL DEPRESSED WITHOUT SUGAR

THE CRAVINGS ARE TOO STRONG

I AM WEAK WILLED

I AM A FAILURE BECAUSE I CAN’T EVEN GIVE UP SUGAR

THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME

I am sure there are many more beliefs surrounding this area.

You may well say “well aren’t these just thoughts?”

Any thought that is imbued with an emotion becomes a belief.

So you now have someone who has a negative thought, they then feel an emotional response to the thought and this sticks the thought, which in turn becomes a belief.

Beliefs are your blueprint in the subconscious. So you now have a set of commands for your subconcious, which runs your life in accordance to the beliefs you just unwittingly programmed yourself with.

No wonder people end up feeling trapped.

Here’s where hypnosis helps;

Under hypnosis commands are given directly to your subconcious to create new beliefs, and a good hypnotherapist will also give commands for some positive emotions which attach themselves to these new commands so they become new beliefs.

Hence these new beliefs are creating your life whether you like it or not.

Only now these beliefs are helpful to your life and the goals you are setting out to achieve.

It’s a no brainer when viewed from this perspective.

 

 

 

5 Things to do to improve how you feel now

Even if you are feeling good you can feel better !

1.Smile deliberately….

2.Remember something funny from your past.

3.Congratulate yourself on two good things you did today as if you were saying it to someone else

4.Take a photo of yourself with anything amusing held in front of yourself then look at the photo

5.Run round in a circle twice in both directions
